Wood is a renewable energy.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) released during the burning of wood is the same as that one who would be released into the atmosphere during its natural degradation.
The volume of CO2 from combustion is equivalent to that charged by the growth of young trees (the size of the French forest increases annually by 5%): trees capture atmospheric CO2 in order to convert it in organic matter: leaves, seeds...
Therefore, wood heating does not contribute to global warming.
However, all heating wood emit nearly one hundred chemical compounds including carbon monoxide (CO) and dust. These emissions can be harmful to humans if they are produced in large quantities.
The Zero Co process eliminates the most of these chemical compounds.
